Grace be to you, friend.
Sam Ayooluwa, a Minister of God without Border, to the Christian widow who has chosen not to remarry after losing her husband. Grace be to you.
Hello Mom.
You may be surprised that I address you this way. I call you Mom because I was raised by someone who stands where you now stand. So I write to you with respect, tenderness, and understanding.
First, I salute your courage. I honor the strength it has taken to continue, to nurture, to provide, to pray, and to keep moving after loss. I also honor your decision not to remarry. Scripture gives you liberty if you desire to do so, yet you have chosen another path, and that choice deserves dignity, not pressure.
According to the language of society, they may say you have entered single parenthood. They may even call you a single mother, and by their terms they may not be incorrect.
